Description
General Information on Saturday Squad
The Saturday Squad requires a higher level of commitment.
Consistent attendance at practices and games is important and remember the football
season can extend through November 8th. Practices will be held twice a week.
Cheerleaders will cheer on the sidelines at all home, away, and playoff games with their
football team.

Placement Process
Our Cheer Clinic will take place on May 4th, 5th, and 7th. Placement evaluations will take place on May 8th. Athletes must participate in the evaluation process to be eligible for Saturday Squad or Competition Squads for the 2026 season.

Saturday Squad capacity is determined by the number of football teams, coaching
availability and the allowed number of cheerleaders on the sidelines. Based on
evaluation scores and interest expressed, athletes may be placed on Spirit Squad,
Saturday Squad or Saturday Squad with Competition team. We will strive to place all
athletes on a team that best suits their skills and experience while ensuring a safe and
positive environment for every cheerleader!

PARENT/GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCTThe support of the parent(s) is
essential to the success of any youth program. Your role at any SYF&C game
or event is to support and cheer your child and team in a positive manner. A
positive attitude, free from parental pressures, is an important factor for the
success of any athlete participating in this program. · Refrain from open
criticism, especially in the presence of children of the program, coaches, or
any personnel connected with the organization. Any questions and/or
concerns should be addressed in a respectful manner with coaching staff and
SYF&C officials. · Parents should never be on the sidelines, playing field or
locker rooms during practice and games, nor interrupt a coach during
practice. All spectators belong on the stands or designated seating areas.
Only athletes, coaches, team parents and appointed association officials may
be on the sidelines or field. · Remember to keep your fan support in the
proper perspective and in good taste. This is a YOUTH program, not a
professional one. · Unsportsmanlike conduct in the stands during SYF&C
events is prohibited. Derogatory statements towards game officials, fans or
the opposing team will not be tolerated and may result in your removal from
the event and/or all future events as determined by the SYF&C Directors. ·
ALCOHOL and ILLICIT SUBSTANCES at any SYF&C event are PROHIBITED.
Also, smoking and all pets are prohibited within the fence of the stadium.
This is school property so these MUST be enforced. · You are responsible for
the behavior of anyone that you bring to practices, games, events and
activities. Those spectators will be held to the same Code of Conduct as
SYF&C parents and participants. · You may be ejected from any Stow Youth
Football & Cheerleading event for any of the above violations.

Volunteer Commitment

Stow Youth Football and Cheer
is a volunteer-run organization that relies entirely on the support of our community, families, and dedicated program volunteers to operate successfully.

To help ensure a smooth and successful season, each family is required to complete four (4) volunteer credits during the season. Volunteer opportunities—including game day support, field cleanup, concession stand shifts, and other seasonal needs—will be posted on our website for sign-up.

At uniform pickup, each family must provide a post-dated check in the amount of $250.00 dated November 1, 2026. This check will only be deposited if the required four volunteer credits are not completed by the end of the season.

We truly depend on the involvement and support of our families and community to make this season a success, and we appreciate your commitment to our program.
